Under a Sky Full of Stars — Sydney to Uluru Outback Road Trip 18 Days
“Australian winter in the outback: no flies, just starlight pouring down.”
Per person · minimum 4 guests (not available for a party of 2)
How the 18-day Uluru outback road trip works
We greet the first outback morning at Taronga Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo, pass through Cobar and the Mad Max filming country of Broken Hill and Silverton, then the underground town of Coober Pedy and the Mars-like Breakaways, and finally reach Uluru. A first sunset with champagne, the 10 km base walk, the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta, and a winter night camping under the Milky Way without a single fly — 5,900 km over 18 days. The route has been redesigned to keep each day's drive under 500 km, for a far more relaxed pace than before, and the way home ends with Mildura and a 360-degree panoramic sunset on the Hay Plains.
